Mustard, Mustard, Mustard!

Lately, I've been LOVING the mustard color. I have a lot of tops with that gold-mustard color in it. I just love it! So last night I went to TJMaxx after work and I found a mustard bag for $24.99! I like it a lot. The only problem is that I will have a hard time finding a wallet to match. I looked at TJMaxx and they did have a wallet that matched but it was $29.99! I don't usually pay that much for a wallet especially considering the purse was less than that! I am a bargain-shopper after all. So I'll have to keep an eye out for a mustard wallet. I'll check Ebay, Amazon and 6pm. Here is a pic of my new mustard bag.

I also got a lovely mustard sheer floral scarf at TJMaxx. It will go with some of my other clothes too since it has green it. Everyone knows how much I love green! Half my wardrobe is GREEN! Redheads look great in all shades of green! I also have a mustard cardigan that I previously purchased online from New York & Company for only $14.99. They always have great sales. I also bought a green cardigan too that looks exactly like it. Big surprise, right? Below are pics of my new scarf and mustard cardigan.

Lastly, I bought a pair of Diba mustard platform heels on 6pm yesterday. They are some very sassy heels that are almost EXACTLY like a pair of yellow heels I saw in the latest People Style Watch April issue! Only mine were only $20.40!!! The yellow heels in the magazine were $89! I actually like my shoes better because they are more of a mustard color, not the bright yellow you see in the magazine. As you can see, I am obsessed with the mustard color! And now I have so much to go with these shoes! What do you think? I know you love them! They are so ME!

And here's the shoe I found in the magazine so you can see the similarity. It looks like the exact same shoe for a small portion of the price!

Well, I think I did rather well. Along with green, maybe mustard can become my other signature color! ;)

Cheap Accessories

Tonight I went to Burke's Outlet to look for cheap accessories. Mission accomplished! I got a very cute turquoise and silver necklace for only...wait for it...$2.99!!! Yes, I'm serious! Can you believe it?! Burke's Outlet is a great place to get cute earrings and necklaces. They have name brand earrings from Nine West, Kenneth Cole, New York & Company, Xhiliration (from Target) and many others. Here is a pic of my necklace:

A few months ago, I bought a pair of brown Madden Girl heels there for less than $25. They were either $22.99 or $24.99. I can't remember. But I love them! They are so comfy and I get a lot of compliments on them. Check them out...

Along with shoes and fashion jewelry, Burke's Outlet also has clothes, home decor and beauty products. I don't get a lot of clothes from there. But occasionally I can find tops or slacks for work. Mainly I just go there for cheap accessories. Here are pics of more earrings and necklaces I bought from there. Most of them were between $2.99 - $5.99!

I don't plan on buying anything over the weekend...But don't hold me to it! ;) Have a great weekend everyone!

The Hunt Is Over...I Think I Found the Perfect Wedges!

OK, the good news is I found some wedges that I really like. And what I like even better is the price! They are only $16.14!!! Come on, you can't beat that! The bad news is shipping is $10! I really hate to pay that much for shipping when the shoes are so cheap. However, I suppose even $26 for wedges is a good price. So far, I've had a hard time finding decent wedges for under $30. Most of the ones I like are between $40-$60!

So...what do you think? To buy or not to buy? That is the question.

Nail Polish & Necklaces

Today I want to blog about nail polish. I have been drooling over some very trendy nail polish I saw on the Sephora website. It's by O.P.I. and the shade is called "Metro Chic." It's a really pretty charcoal gray color with a hint of purple. But the nail polish was $9 and I didn't want to pay that much for nail polish! So, I found a similar (almost exact) color at CVS Pharmacy. The brand is called "Lasting Finish Pro" by Rimmel and the shade is "Steel Grey." It was only $2.99! And I found it even cheaper at Target for $2.49! You know how much I love finding good deals! So, needless to say, I'm quite excited! :)

I also found a few other shades I love. "Hot Cocoa" is a brown shade but in certain lighting it looks like a mauve/plum color. "Purple Rain" is a dark purple/plum color and "Pink Bliss" is a very feminine pale pink color. I have received lots of compliments on the "Steel Grey" and "Hot Cocoa" but I haven't worn the other shades yet.

I really like the nail polish a lot and it does seem to last longer than most of the nail polishes I have tried. However, I notice the tips of my nails always fade and chip slightly. This happens with most nail polishes I use. Maybe it's because I type a lot but it's frustrating because I paint my nails and by the end of the day, I need to reapply nail polish to my tips. I think I'm going to try to start putting a no-chip top coat over my nail polish to see if it helps. I did find a product by Barielle called "No Chip Speed Dry With Protein." It's pricey though at $12.50 a bottle. But I saw it at TJMaxx for only $3.99! I wish I had bought it. I'm going back to get it soon and I'll let you know how it works. If anyone has any recommendations of other products that would help, please let me know. Suggestions are welcome. :)

Moving on to necklaces, I found a couple of necklaces on eBay that I'm VERY happy about! I'm been DYING for this gray necklace from Banana Republic! DYING, I TELL YOU!!! For months now, I've been wanting to get it but I kept waiting in hopes I'll find it cheaper. The necklace was originally priced at $79.50 and I was able to find it for $50. That is definitely more than I usually pay for a necklace but I just HAD to have it! Here's a pic and I think you'll see why...

And I got this Ann Taylor LOFT gold link necklace for $14.99 on eBay! It was priced $29.99 in the store. What do you think?

As I mentioned in my last blog, my next mission is to find the Steve Madden turquoise wedges on sale. The cheapest I can find them is $59.95. So I'll keep searching. But, in the meantime, I'm looking for a pair of brown or tan wedges for under $30 (although I'm willing to pay more if I love them). So PLEASE let me know if you find some I might like. Thanks all! :)

The Limited

So today, I treated myself. There was no particular reason. I just thought "Why not?" I got a really pretty green and gold top and a pair of gold earrings from The Limited. The top was $44.50 and the earrings were $16.50. So I really didn't get that great of deal. But I really just HAD to have this top! What do you think?

And here are the earrings:

If you simply sign up for The Limited's emails, they will send you a coupon to take $15 off every $50 you spend! That's the good news. The bad news is you can't use this coupon for items that are on sale or clearance. That's why I paid so much for the top and earrings. I just HAD to use my coupon! ;)

My next mission is to find these adorable turquoise Steve Madden wedges!

I love them! But I hate to pay $59.95! I'm hoping I'll find them for a cheaper price. So I'll keep looking. Wish me luck!

Introduction

Hi. My name is Tangie and I am a shoe addict. I admit it. And they say admitting you have a problem is the first step, right? Although personally, I don't really consider my shoe addiction a "problem" but I'm sure others would disagree. Collecting shoes is just a hobby of mine. Some people like to collect stamps or coins but I happen to collect shoes. What's wrong with that?! I LOVE SHOES! What can I say? And since I'm a bargain shopper, I rarely spend over $50 for a pair of shoes. In fact, I rarely spend more than $30! And that's usually including shipping. Not too shabby, huh? I know you are quite impressed. :)

A dear friend of mine suggested I start a blog about my shoe obsession along with all my amazing bargain-shopping skills (patting myself on the back). So here I am. I have TONS of recommendations for all of my friends and followers. Frankly, I shop ALL THE TIME. I tend to shop almost every week and I browse online everyday. Yes, that's right...EVERY SINGLE DAY. So I'm always coming across great sale items, clearances, online deals, etc. In my future blogs, I will include some of my favorite sites to find good deals. There are so many! I hope to help all of you save a few bucks and of course look fabulous doing it! Who wouldn't want that?!

One of my favorite websites to find great shoe deals is http://www.6pm.com/. If you sign up for their Daily Deal Emails, you will receive a daily email with all of their shoe brands on sale. I recently purchased a pair of Nine West Rocha light natural heels. They were regularly priced at $79 but I got them for $18.98! And they have a flat shipping rate of $6.95. So, my total was $25.93, which is a great deal for Nine West shoes! Here's a pic of them on...

Overall, I like the shoes but they were a little darker than I thought they would be. I thought they would match my skin tone but to me, they are more of a camel/tan color. Also, they are a little snug but hopefully they will stretch out when I wear them. Those same shoes went on sale for only $10 and then again for $4!!! That is what is so great about 6pm. If you keep checking back on the shoes that are on your wish list but cost more than you want to spend, they usually will lower the prices. Their prices fluctuate weekly and sometimes even daily!

And yesterday I went shopping with a friend to the new Pearland Town Center Wow! I was totally impressed with that place! It was the PERFECT day to go shopping! The sun was shining and the wind was blowing. It was beautiful! If only I had worn comfortable shoes. Of course I picked cuteness over comfort. :\ Anyway, there were A LOT of great stores all in walking distance! There was Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, The Limited, New York & Company, LOFT, Macy's and many more! Here is a link to their directory:

I went to a few stores and didn't buy anything at all. I was starting to get discouraged. Sometimes I'm just not feeling it, you know? That is very rare of course, but it happens. And then we went into The Limited. They always have GREAT deals on their sale items in the back of the store. So, I purchased a blouse, cardigan and necklace all for $73! The blouse is a sleeveless white and charcoal sheer top with ruffles on the neckline. It actually looks black and white. It was $19.99. And the cardigan is a lovely teal color and it was $34.99. The necklace is silver and black. It looks like one of those bib necklaces that are very IN right now! It was only $12.99! This ensemble will look great with black pants or a pencil skirt for work. A gray pencil skirt or slacks would work too. And I plan to wear either my black peep toe heels or my teal wedges. So many choices! Here's a pic of it all:

You should check out The Limited sale online so you can see all their deals. Here is a link to their website: http://www.thelimited.com/catalog/sale

Well, that's all I have for you all today. Until next time...Happy Shopping!
