Nail Polish & Necklaces

Today I want to blog about nail polish. I have been drooling over some very trendy nail polish I saw on the Sephora website. It's by O.P.I. and the shade is called "Metro Chic." It's a really pretty charcoal gray color with a hint of purple. But the nail polish was $9 and I didn't want to pay that much for nail polish! So, I found a similar (almost exact) color at CVS Pharmacy. The brand is called "Lasting Finish Pro" by Rimmel and the shade is "Steel Grey." It was only $2.99! And I found it even cheaper at Target for $2.49! You know how much I love finding good deals! So, needless to say, I'm quite excited! :)

I also found a few other shades I love. "Hot Cocoa" is a brown shade but in certain lighting it looks like a mauve/plum color. "Purple Rain" is a dark purple/plum color and "Pink Bliss" is a very feminine pale pink color. I have received lots of compliments on the "Steel Grey" and "Hot Cocoa" but I haven't worn the other shades yet.

I really like the nail polish a lot and it does seem to last longer than most of the nail polishes I have tried. However, I notice the tips of my nails always fade and chip slightly. This happens with most nail polishes I use. Maybe it's because I type a lot but it's frustrating because I paint my nails and by the end of the day, I need to reapply nail polish to my tips. I think I'm going to try to start putting a no-chip top coat over my nail polish to see if it helps. I did find a product by Barielle called "No Chip Speed Dry With Protein." It's pricey though at $12.50 a bottle. But I saw it at TJMaxx for only $3.99! I wish I had bought it. I'm going back to get it soon and I'll let you know how it works. If anyone has any recommendations of other products that would help, please let me know. Suggestions are welcome. :)

Moving on to necklaces, I found a couple of necklaces on eBay that I'm VERY happy about! I'm been DYING for this gray necklace from Banana Republic! DYING, I TELL YOU!!! For months now, I've been wanting to get it but I kept waiting in hopes I'll find it cheaper. The necklace was originally priced at $79.50 and I was able to find it for $50. That is definitely more than I usually pay for a necklace but I just HAD to have it! Here's a pic and I think you'll see why...

And I got this Ann Taylor LOFT gold link necklace for $14.99 on eBay! It was priced $29.99 in the store. What do you think?

As I mentioned in my last blog, my next mission is to find the Steve Madden turquoise wedges on sale. The cheapest I can find them is $59.95. So I'll keep searching. But, in the meantime, I'm looking for a pair of brown or tan wedges for under $30 (although I'm willing to pay more if I love them). So PLEASE let me know if you find some I might like. Thanks all! :)
